Here are some ideas and creative ways some people have shared in applying the rosary prayers to their prayer life:

"My goal is to say at least 1 decade everyday.  While it isn't a full formal rosary that contemplates the 5 Mysteries and decades for the particular day of the week, it is a level of devotion that I succeed with and has had a big impact on my faith development."

"I say a decade every day.  After the first 3 Hail Marys as the first Mystery would be announced, I contemplate all 5 at once, and then as I progress through the decade, I pause before each Hail Mary and speak to God in one to two sentence prayers.  If needed, I continue through more Hail Marys and short prayers."

"As I begin, I put on headphones and play music that sets a tone for prayer and meditation."

"I have read that some people feel the Rosary is a rote mechanical recitation of prayers.  For me, though, the prayers serve as a mantra to center my focus on meditation and communing with God as well as thoughts about my own spiritual standing."

"As I have begun to say the rosary every day is some form or another, it has become a gateway to real heartfelt prayer that goes beyond the rythmic recitation of the prayers."

"As I begin the rosary progression on three first Hail Marys, I try to visualize standing before a loving God and Jesus with Mary standing beside me encouraging me and as my advocate.  The try to mentally comprehend a palpable sensation of love, understanding, and encouragment."

"For me, finding a quiet place in the house and time of day to devote to the rosary helped me form the habit.   In this space I have some terrific daily devotional books and the Bible.  Before I begin the rosary, I do a few minutes of reading from these books.  This gives me some direction and focus.
